Pray 60 is an ecumenical endeavor to encourage all people to attend a regular weekly service with their faith community.
Stand up for your right to worship
and take back Sunday morning.
We urge all sports organizations to avoid scheduling activities prior to 1 PM on Sundays to provide the opportunity for people to go to worship.
Pray 60 was founded in October 2015 by Tom Cronin as a result of making evangelization phone calls at his church. After receiving feedback from families that they were not regularly attending mass due to their children's sports activities, Tom decided something needed to be done about it and launched Pray 60.
Pray 60 refers to the (average) 60 minutes per week we spend in communal worship. Pray 60 is an opportunity to take back Sunday mornings. Pray 60 supports all sports and every opportunity for youth to participate in sports, but not at the risk of losing touch with God and not worshiping with your faith community.
The family unit plays an integral role in the success of this campaign. As parents, we want to provide our children with every opportunity available to them, but NOT at the risk of losing touch with our faith. As written in Luke 12:31 -- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
